Having being registered as a non profit for over 10 years, traditionally the ACF has served as a grantmaking foundation with the goal to assist in the development of community based organizations and nongovernmental organizations that develop projects that advance our mission, and address the challenges our country faces in the area of social protections, providing opportunities and diversionary programmes, and developing skills for empowerment and employment. To this end we have funded a multitude of projects which are detailed under our programmes tab.

However in recent years through our work with community based organizations the ACF has learned from experience, the importance of adaptation to meet meaningful and sustainable development goals. At ACF, we recognized that many of their challenges in sustainability were in the area of planning, management, resource mobilization and monitoring and that ACF had to do more to address this gap and it effects on both the quality and quantity of programmes we fund. Through our own growth, and more meaningful strategic planning, we understand that its is more sustainable to address this challenge through the transference of knowledge and skills than solely through funding, but by technical skill development including capacity building and effective advocacy methodologies.

 

The ACF prides itself in its civic, public and social corporate relationships which includes but is not limited to, support for programmes and donations in kind; and looks to expand its reach and commitment toward partnerships and collaboration into the educational institutions and youth organizations in the coming years.
