Dwain has 14 years of experience in the medical field after graduating from La Ciencias Medicas de Santiago in Guantanamo Cuba, as a Medical Physician. His workplace experience expands from the local Joseph N France (JNF) General Hospital and extends to the Spanish Town Hospital in Spanish Town, Jamaica. He currently manages the COVID-19 cases at Accident and Emergency Department at JNF General Hospital.
He has also gained much experience in the area of sports-related medicine and sits on the Anti-doping team attached to the National Olympic Committee, as well as participate as a qualified doping Control Officer, testing and educating the athletes about the good spirit of sportsmanship. He is also a member of the National Sports Council.
Beyond these duties, he also performs the Physician duties assigned to the public geriatric home known as the Cardin Home and is fully involved in public health Infection control as the focal point personnel of Tuberculosis. and part of the Board for the International Health Regulation Focal Point Committee that investigates all possible threats of communicable diseases to the Federation.
Dwain is a true believer in volunteerism, as has demonstrated this in his participation in the Cuban Alumni Association, the St. Kitts/ Nevis/ Anguilla Amateur Radio Association, the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA) district #3, and President of the Rotary Club of St. Kitts.
